Elizabeth Olear moves on to the state track championships for California after two blazing performances: 11.45 in the 100 meters and a 200 meter time of 23.41. Both times were PB's for Olear and both are ranked as second fastest times in the nation for high school athletes.
Olear worked hard on her deadlifts during the off season and progressed through the season to become a 2x bw lifter and a member of the Bearpowered Hall Of Fame. Based on her reps at a lower weight, her estimated max is between 375-385.
Next year, Elizabeth will be attending the University of Southern California where she has already accepted a track scholarship. Olear might even meet up with a one time nemesis (and soon to be schoolmate) whom she challenged in the California state 200 meter championship in 2003 ---Allyson Felix. Felix won that encounter with a phenomenal record breaking performance of 22.52, but who knows what might happen when they meet again....
Once again, congratulations to Elizabeth Olear and best wishes for the upcoming state championships!
